Colburn and Grant is a unique combination being Cirencester’s only Cheesemonger along with a delicatessen and coffee shop. We are tucked away in Templar Mews – just off Blackjack Street, behind Table Eight and opposite the Swan Yard post office entrance – but don’t pass us by as you’ll miss a treat.
We are home to 50 or so Artisan cheeses including many local specialities such as the ash coated Cerney Pyramid goats cheese and the wonderful Stinking Bishop along with many more from Britain, Ireland and the rest of Europe. The emphasis is on quality, taste and variety, so the choice will be continually updated and there will be regular ‘guest’ cheeses to keep interest going throughout the year. We specialise in recommending cheeseboards and will also create a Cheese Wedding Cake for your special day if you can give us at least six weeks notice.
In our Coffee Shop we offer delicious coffee, loose leaf teas and hot chocolate; a range of hand-built deli sandwiches; hot soup; cakes and other naughty treats. All can be eaten in or taken away. We also offer glasses of wine so on those hot spring and summer days come and take cheese and wine al fresco in the mews – it’s a veritable sun-trap. We have special offers on all the time so do come and see what we have on at the moment.
If all of that was not enough, we also sell a range of salamis, ham and chorizo and delicious olives and we have a range of deli goods mainly designed to complement the cheese. Don’t just read this come and see for yourself. We are also very proud to have been nominally awarded 5 stars for hygiene on our very first HSE inspection.
